The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show – April 11-12, 2014

Revival Cycles Press Release:
Revival Cycles, an Austin-based custom motorcycle shop, has teamed up with Moto Guzzi and Circuit of the Americas to provide a FREE custom motorcycle, art and entertainment showcase at 1100 E. 5th St in Austin on April 11th and 12th, to coincide with the 2014 Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas.
The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show is a showcase of builders and craftsmen, combining skill, knowledge and ingenuity to create one-of-a-kind handcrafted machines. These artists add fuel to a revolution in the making, one that encourages people to explore the unrivaled satisfaction and joy of creating something with one’s own hands.
The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show strives to spotlight those working in the custom motorcycle scene to create truly unique machines built to fit personalized desires of design and function.
This handmade revolution is not solely confined to the world of custom motorcycle making and The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show believes it’s imperative to support the craftsmen working in all disciplines in today’s mass-produced world. The Second Skin Jacket Show is a showcase of vintage and modern customized moto-apparel, specifically jackets and vests, from old MC-Club pieces to contemporary one-offs, including a set of four jackets commissioned by show sponsor, REV’IT!, to be customized by Austin artists.
In addition to the custom jacket show, other attractions at The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show will include vintage death-defying stunts on The Wall of Death, the travelling Oil & Ink Vintage Motorbike Print Exposition, various other artwork from local artists, and wet-plate tintype photography by Lumiere Tintype.
